Fairchild Semiconductor Expands Management Team in Korea

-- Kyung-Jae Lee Appointed Vice President of Marketing and of the Global Power Resource(TM) Center in Korea

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 20, 2005— -- Brings Analog Product and Sales Management Experience from Texas Instruments and Samsung Electronics

Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), the leading global supplier of products that optimize system power, today announced the appointment of Kyung-Jae (KJ) Lee, 48, to Vice President of Marketing and of the Global Power Resource Center(TM) in Korea. He will be responsible for the marketing and field application engineering activities, as well as directing development of complete system power solutions with customers at the Global Power Resource Design Center, based in Bucheon, South Korea. Lee will report to Chan-Goo (CG) Park, Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing in Korea.

Lee joins Fairchild from Texas Instruments where for more than 17 years he held various management positions in analog products, distribution and sales. Previously he worked for Samsung Electronics, leading a team of engineers in developing graphic products for PCs. He is a graduate of Inha University in Korea.

"KJ's sales and marketing record of increasing revenue, winning new business and creating strategic partnerships for major accounts will be very valuable to Fairchild," said CG Park. "He brings a unique blend of analog power product technical expertise combined with extensive customer experience in Korea.
